Services offered by SMRT Corporation

Our service will be unique to the user whether it is the student, teacher, parent, administrator, or SMRT employee with authorization on the contract. This new web interface comes with multiple benefits to all parties in the agreement focusing on the students ability to achieve their goals and have transparency with the relationship between the teacher and parents in each and every school district. We would like to keep the parents informed as to what is going on in the classrooms each day while making sure the teachers have the freedom to be creative in the classroom and not feel like they are having people critiquing each and every move.

 

Benefits

Parents: They will have the capability to see each and every grade their student has online without having to rely on the quarterly report card given to the child for the parents. (we all know they never make it home but instead into the nearest garbage outside the classroom) They will have the ability to instant message the teacher or administrator at the school regarding any questions they may have. The parent will also be able to see the comments the teachers have made on the students assignments because most if not all will be turned in through SMRT allowing the school system to become more ECO-friendly. Parents will also be able to see the course syllabus, which might be nice so they know exactly the course their student in on throughout their 1st grade through 12th grade careers. This also allows parents to push their kids and see each time an assignment is due, which by default gives transparency between the child and parent.

 

Student Benefits: The student will be allowed to complete homework assignments and other graded work online without having to worry about printing a paper copy which everyone knows could be tough sometimes. The student will be able to see their grades real time and know exactly what is due and when without any excuses. The parents will be able to push the student or remind them that something must be completed which might help for a better school education which in return means a better chance of a highever education in the future. The student will also be able to instant message the teachers on this web interface allowing for questions and ideas to be traded. This instant message interface will be monitored for quality and professionalism by both parties by both administrators and SMRT qualified employees. Overall this could give the student the ability to be more flexible with assignments and get them in on time giving them a push by the parents that could know each days grades.

 

Teachers: The teachers in each school system will be able to have an easy to use gradebook templates they can use to simplify their grades. Formulas already programmed for weighted grades and different point systems which each teachers may find useful. This teachers profile will allow them to interact with both the student, the parent, or both at the same time, making sure that the students on on track for success. Teachers will have easy access to many different resources in SMRT which allows them to stay paperless in the classroom at least for most assignments. This program also holds teachers accountable for the education that the teachers are given in the school systems across the nation. SMRT will see grade editing, grade changes, and also see consistency issues across the board using different formulas making sure that no fraud is happening in the school systems. After all the students education is SMRTs number one priority. We are accredited which also makes the teacher more marketable coming from the school systems that have used our product.

 

Administration: The school systems administration will feel more comfortable that a third party is dedicated to making sure that everything that has to do with assignments and the grading of these assignments are consistent. This allows administration to focus on the classroom experiences and on the job training. Administration will also have easier access being able to reach a student or parent reminding them of things or holding conversation about issues regarding the school. These individuals used to spend a lot of time finding ways to simplify a students experience and we will do the work for them.

 

Competitors(NICK) Blackboard and other competitors are used for students and many times have flaws in the sign in process or the enrollment process. The parents have to set up both their students and the parents account which makes it annoying, actually burdening the parents. This should be a fun and interactive way of bridging the gap not creating more unneeded stress. Blackboard runs slow many times and has issues when it comes to the upkeep (every other time you log in there is lag or you are unable to due to maintenance) The competition also doesn’t try to focus on bridging the gap between each party and making it so fraud isn’t possible. This is where SMRT comes in. Fraud is a huge issue across the united states and the standard are being lowered. Soon with SMRT and the accreditations we have this won't be the case.

 

Pricing of the product

The pricing of the product obviously depends on the school system and how many schools and people will be using the server space. SMRT at the moment have six contracts with 6 different school systems in the northern virginia area with each contract being $100,000 a piece. Over the past year as we continue to grow our company these six school systems have been more productive and proactive in making sure the best education is possible for our children.  We try to be fair and affordable but be able to make profits to grow the company and and slowly give accreditation to all or virginia and beyond. Every year to keep the system SMRT a fee will be paid or $40,000(number ok?) just for maintenance and the use of software.

Pricing includes:

  • Maintenance fee

  • Gradebook templates

  • Quiz formatting and storage for later use

  • Auto grading of quizzes and take home tests

  • Convenience fee for being paperless

  • Cloud storage fee

  • Accreditation and auditing fee

Methods used for payment will be either quarterly payments to make it more affordable for the school system, monthly payments, or if the school system chose to do one large payment a discount will be added to the first annual fee. We understand that the school systems in the united states aren't always as funded as one may think therefore we want to make it as affordable as possible to receive our grade services regardless or the circumstances.

Pricing strategy: we understand that there are other competitors out in the market. We are new and coming and have a niche that no one else can beat. Given the fact that we don't have to much past performance we much keep our prices as low as possible allowing for some overhead growth but not much so we can keep looking extremely appealing. Our unique selling point is the fact that we are an accreditation company and that we also audit the schools while giving them the ability to have the 2.0 version of any other company on the market so far. This price in not meant to take away from the school systems so much that they can't afford to teach the kids. This is one more reason why we keep the price so affordable we also want to be affordable to both inner city schools as well as the more funded ones.

Our Message: We will not only have a website created to market out brand SMRT but we will also be hip to the new trends so we have decided as a company to be active on all social media platforms which we will have someone running around the clock keeping the public up to date on the new technology we have created and systems to put into school systems. We plan to develop a following on these platforms (twitter, snapchat, instagram, and facebook) as well as any new ones that may be created in the future. We believe that the parents and students should have a say in the school system and the techniques used to audit and keep track of grades so we are always willing to take calls, emails, or instant messages about any ideas or concerns we can address in the future to stay innovative. We will be using social media to show the impact of the great product we have created and share it with the world so that the product can have the chance to market and speak for itself. People can see first hand the past performance instead of taking a gamble on an new product that may not work. This will make us more profitable and be able to give back to school districts in need creating fund raisers and promoting them across the nation as a sponsor to give our children the best education possible.

Marketing: we will focus our marketing on parents, and students in the community by using email, brochures, flyers, and business cards when applicable. These will be tools during seminars, talks, and other events attended to market our brilliant idea. We also have used YEXT.com and will be comparing other advertising prices to see what other ways we can spread the word. We will heavily rely on work of mouth make ourselves known.
